Be Weary of Debt Consolidation Firms

Debt free america: If you are burdened by debt, there are many options out there that you could choose from; however, not all the options out there will be best for any situation. There are many options that are out there for anyone to consider, yet be aware of debt consolidation companies. Unregulated debt consolidators are not always the best option for someone, as they are not necessarily bound by the restrictions on interest rates. Companies like this can be a blessing or a curse simply depending on the company and how they run their business. There is hope however, as there is a new enforcement team on the block. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is now in charge of regulating the debt consolidation companies in the United States. These companies will not be checked regularly to make sure that they are incompliance and not disobeying any of the laws on interest rates and things of that nature. These companies will now be held responsible for the things that they have done in destroying some families finances. Debt is already difficult enough to get through, without having to worry about people who are trying to take even what you don’t have when you don’t have it. These companies need to be regulated more strictly and finally there is something in place that will allow the regulation of companies that control debt. When it comes to personal spending it is better to live without and have no debt, than have everything you ever wanted and not be able to afford it.
